System Templates

Many organizations need to become registered to a quality or environmental standard, but simply cannot afford the services of a consultant. This is particularly true in these difficult economic times. However, the degree of abstraction present in ISO 9000 and other standards makes it very difficult for some one developing a system for the very first time to develop compliant, yet not excessively detailed, policy manuals and procedures.

TQS developed its system templates to help precisely these people and organizations. Our templates for ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and other standards contain:

	A guaranteed-compliant, ready-to-edit policy manual (Tier 1) in MS Word format.
	Complete set of "mandatory" procedures (Tier 2) documents in ready-to-edit MS Word format
	Additional "optional" system elements that you can add to your "basic" system to improve its operational effectiveness. An example is a procedure for sampling inspection by variables, accompanied by a self-interpreting MS Excel spreadsheet. The use of this procedure enables organizations to reduce sample size (reducing QC costs) and estimate fraction defective.
	A set of training slides in Adobe Acrobat format that can be printed for internal use, and used as a training aid in the deployment of your system throughout your company.

Remember, in order to attain registration your organization must pass four tests conducted by your registrar:

	Have you developed documentation that meets all the applicable requirements of the standard?
	Do your personnel demonstrate a knowledge of the system elements pertaining to their jobs?
	Does observation of work being performed indicate compliance with system requirements?
	Do records demonstrate a history of complying with your system?

Our template system provides you the "raw materials" you need to develop and deploy your system. Using our system, you will need to do the following:

	Edit the templates to reflect your organizations practices. (Editing versus "writing-from-scratch" has been demonstrated to reduce writing man-hours by 80% or more.)
	Communicate the requirements of the system to affected employees. For example, training Purchasing personnel in the Vendor Selection and Management process.
	Implement the system
	Conduct internal audits to identify and implement needed corrective actions, where needed.

If you need to train Internal Auditors, but cannot afford the approx. $900/person fee of public courses, ask us for information about an Internal Auditor Auditor Course with which you can train as many auditors as you like. This is an important long-term cost consideration because your company will be required to replace any auditors lost to turn-over.

These templates are licensed for use in one facility only! We therefore do not sell these templates to consultants or trainers for their use in courses or in multiple companies.
